Trust With Love

“… do not worry about your life, what you will eat … or what you will wear.”
— (Luke 12 :22 NIV).

Until you are actually faced with the harshest realities life can hurl at you, you cannot know for certain if Jesus was warning us all of future events, or merely using a parable to make his point.

In this precarious world, the time to learn wholehearted trust is not when it is a matter of life-and-death, but when it is a matter of simple obedience.

“When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.”
— (Luke 1:41 NIV).

Poets and songwriters have written for centuries about the feelings of love we experience.

“You’ll know,” they all say, “when it happens to you. You will be warm, breathless and happy.”

Perhaps they only have half the story.

True, lasting and spiritual love; the only kind that matters and the only kind worth having; transcends human love and resides in the Divine.

You will know when it happens, because your Spirit will leap within you, and from that moment on you will love unreservedly.
