Thoughts on My 70th Birthday

I’M STRONGER THAN I EVER KNEW:

The Oak Tree’s highest moment is that moment when through strength, endurance, perseverance and God’s grace, it has reached the highest potential for which He created it, and is waiting breathlessly on the threshold of returning its outward bark to the ground from whence it came, and its spirit to the heavenly garden for which it yearns.

In that moment, in the poet’s words, the mighty Oak says to its Creator: “Until today I wasn’t sure; of just how much I could endure; but now I’ve found, with thanks to You; I’m stronger than I ever knew.”

The Real Meaning of Religious Liberty

For me, the real meaning of religious liberty is intensely personal.

This is the National Monument to the Forefathers, in Plymouth, Massachusetts.  It was dedicated on August 1, 1889.

On the main pedestal stands the heroic figure of “Faith” — with her right hand pointing toward heaven and her left hand clutching the Bible.

These are the foundational principles upon which our country was founded, and without which our country cannot survive.

I plan to listen to God, and our courageous forefathers; not to politicians and revisionist history.

Thank God, as an American, that is my right!

Remarkably Simple Social Media for Your Church

The most important lesson in social media for your church or ministry: It’s not faith in technology that matters; it’s faith in God.

PASTOR:  ASK YOURSELF THESE QUESTIONS.

Where will your new members come from?  How will you motivate them to join when they arrive?  How best can you substantially grow your church with limited resources?  And most vital of all, how can you reach out to the lost in a way that gives honor and glory to God.

These are hugely important, practical, questions — for every pastor in America.

WE ARE HERE TO HELP

There’s a big world out there and it’s filled with prospective church members and followers. The conundrum is how to reach them successfully and cost effectively. Instead of wondering where your new members will come from, how to motivate them when they arrive and how to afford it all in a difficult economy, Social Media for God will help you find them, already motivated, and eager to join your church.

OUR MISSION

At Social Media for God, our mission is to assist churches around the world; using our proven, proprietary, social media strategies and protocols, to dramatically expand their membership, ministry and influence. – Michael R. H. Stewart

SOCIAL MEDIA IS THE SOLUTION

Social media is not a simple solution.  It will take time, dedication and energy.  It will require creativity and wisdom.  But if you give Social Media for God a period of sustained effort, the next time you end a service deeply concerned you will do something special.

You will sit down at your computer; reach out into an enormous following of your perfect members; find an individual who is the quintessentially ideal worker for your newest spiritual initiative; tap him on his virtual shoulder and invite him to become a valued member of your church.

Watch for your invitation to meet with me personally.  Or if you prefer, complete the form below and I will contact you within the hour.

It really is simple, because we will do it ALL FOR YOU!

Thank you and God Speed,

Pastors: Please Make Your Voices Heard

God is right now calling and preparing Christian men and women to become powerful leaders throughout our nation at all levels of government.
– John Graves, President of Vision America

In the glorious history of America, Christian pastors have been the center of wisdom and influence, wherever men of conscience have gathered.

Wherever courage and discipline have been sorely needed, men of God have stood shoulder-to-shoulder with those they serve; braving every hardship and sustaining faith in the midst of every difficult situation.

Never before have they been more crucial to our country’s moral leadership than they are today.

There is a marked difference between believing in a higher moral order, and the willingness to place everything you hold dear on the line for the cause of religious liberty.  Vision America, its founder Dr. Rick Scarborough, and its exciting president, John Graves, remind me of the biblical King David as a young man, when he stood up defiantly, armed with a slingshot and five smooth stones to vanquish Goliath.

Outnumbered and outgunned, as they say in Texas, David stood his ground, marshaled his courage and strode forward to do battle. He didn’t cower.  He didn’t equivocate.  He simply announced to Goliath: You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord God Almighty.
— 1 Samuel 17:45

Vision America leaders have one crucial weapon that David couldn’t even dream of: the technological ability to communicate their message with thoroughness and wide-ranging power, using social media as their slingshot and 21st century wisdom as their five smooth stones.

If you are a pastor in the proud State of Texas, this is your clarion call to stand up for what you believe.
